The Flower

Thunder clapped harshly,
In the dark stormy sky
The ship sailed over
The scary tides high.

One woman on the coast
Heard the sailors’ cry,
She got them home
And served them hot pie.

And mashed potatoes,
Beef and fish fry,
As the sailors told her
They were about to die.

They got up to leave
In a ship that stood nearby,
They swarmed around the lady
And hugged her goodbye.

But she pleaded with them
To take her favourite bonsai,
She had helped them
So they could not deny.

The Captain agreed
to take it home in Dubai,
She asked him to promise to keep it safe
He said to cross my heart and hope to die

But when he reached home
Three days into July,
He forgot about the plant
And left it to wither and dry.

On the next day, he found out
Pro caught the poor guy,
He died ultimately
So remember not to lie.
